This is a vintage embroidered tea cozy that I really don't know anything about. Its done in chain-stitch and I love the folk-art look of it. It looks Indian to me but that's just an impression.
Its good to be back for VTT. For more VTT wonders click here.

I love anything to do with tea. This is such an unusual tea cozy-love the color.
This kind of embroidery could be from many different parts of the world. It is very special, and tea things are always nice!
How unusual...i love the red embroidery :)
This is really pretty; it looks Indian to me, too.
beautiful tea cozy--I like look of it too. too bad you don't have the history but it is a good example of vintage embroidery.
I love any kind of vintage material items, from tea cozies to pillow cases , napkins, table cloths and most of all vintage clothing...
This is very pretty, and what a cheery color. I think it looks indian too, but you never know. I love it! Have a great week. Thanks for showing this cute tea cozy.
The tea cozy definitely looks Indian. Love your snow pictures too.
Thanks for visiting my dolls.

Nice...do you use it?
Oh that is gorgeous!! It doesn't look Indian to me though. It looks more Amish. Of course, what do I know?
Very nice tea cosy! I like the pattern.
This is a very attractive tea cozy. The embroidery reminds me of Eastern Europe.
This is a delightful piece. I wonder if you might be open to the idea of photocopying the image? My mother loves folk art and reproducing this for her would be a treat. Of course, if it would damage the fibers that would be completely out of the question. Thank you for sharing! ~Kelly
