I'm still not totally done with jet lag...I can't believe it is taking me this long but I'm hoping that I broke it completely today. Its not just the unusual sleep patterns-I just don't seem to have the same energy level. I have however managed to do some quilting.
I had rolled the Double Wedding Ring quilt in the frame before we left and I'm now here...
and I've already completed half of this roll.
I've also been doing some machine quilting...I had basted the embroidered Bonnet Girl quilt before leaving but hadn't started the quilting at all. I've done the straight lines on the embroidered bars and I'm thinking I'll put a cable in the narrow green floral bars.
You can see I'm just sewing right over the embroidery...looks fine to me! :) and easy too!

slowly but surely you will get done. I too have had low energy - it really took a lot of me this past two months of mom being sick and getting her moved to assisted care - now to get back to quilting.

I'm usually not a fan of Sunbonnet Sue, but these are cute, Miri. I agree, it definitely looks fine with the straight line quilting. Can't beat easy!
Your wedding ring is fabulous as well as your Sunbonnet Sue's...
I like the channel quilting choice saves doing custom which is time consuming Miri.
Re the jet lag, I have the same issue returning from Aus. flying west to east is always worse. I find if the weather is hot when you return it takes longer to recover......odd?
Try taking some Vit B12.
That machine quilting really does look nice over the embroidery. Enjoying seeing your hand quilting progress as well. Hope the jet lag is gone soon.
Hi Miri, both of your quilts are gorgeous! I love the double Wedding Ring. I have made a double Irish Chain, but not a Wedding one. Your sunbonnets are so cute also. I do not do my own quilting. Just the piecing. I so need to get busy working on a few that I have started. I can not for the life of me get back in the mood to sew. UGH!
Hugs,
Jann
I love the double wedding ring quilt pattern you used Which pattern did you use that had so many print fabric sections? I want to make one, but I've only seen the one with six sections. doing a great job; keep it up!
Thank you for your help.
