The tools - wow - look how bent up those needles are! but so surprising is that they were found.

Alas, the Jamestown sewing tools are not mine! The photo is from the archaeological report of the excavations in the 1950s. I just thought it was something nice to add for the 4th of July!

Wow, how rudimentary the tools. I cannot imagine! Imagine making a flag and darning socks with those.

Lovely watercolor picture! It is amazing how little thimbles and scissors have changed from the Jamestown times.
