I decided to use diagonal lines for my quilting so I used my Hera marker so I would have guide lines.
I decided to use curved lines and while I'm not finished yet some interesting things are coming up...check out that corner! Pretty cool.
I like the way the quilting looks on the embroidery blocks too. I have a confession-I've never machine quilted over embroidery before. I always quilted around the embroidery. Now this isn't heavily quilted over the embroidery but still...

Congrats on being named as "Best of the Web" on Pocketchange. Also, I love how your quilting is coming out on the mystery quilt. Quilting right over the embroidery is brave (!) and it looks great.

I like what you have done here Miri, subtle but enough to give some definition without distracting from the embroidery. I too have never quilted over embroidery before but I may try it having seen yours!
Oh, thanks for showing that quilting over the emboridery. I have always wondered about doing that myself. Looks great.

What a pretty quilt! I came from Deb's, looking at the Hera use. How well does it work on big projects? Do the lines last a long time and withstand the large amount of manipulation that happens under a domestic machine with a big quilt?
