and here. Both of these are foundation pieced with equal width strips...
but now I'm doing them String pieced! Oh how liberating....how quick and easy...and a great way to use up scraps-lots and lots of scraps! Finally!
Remember what my ironing board looked like last week...well, this is it today. 42 blocks-all sewn with just some trimming left to do!
I love this! I love this so much I have joined Stephanie String Quilt Challenge so this will be just the first String quilt this year! Yes!

its nice to use up scraps isn't it. Every time I make a scrap quilt I feel good but then I look at my scrap boxes and doesn't seem like I even made a dent.

It looks great! I enjoy seeing other people's ideas, and my to do-list grows ans grows!
I can see that you are having lots of fun with your scraps.
Can't wait to see your string quilt. I like the POP of red!
That's a great idea!
they look very rich together.
What are you using for foundation, Miri? These are terrific they will be lots of fun so many setting options. Love the red triangles.
Scrap stripping is such a great mindless technique
I love this, Miri. I so wanted to join in with all the string-love but need to finish some others first. I will probably give in though and join in the fun.
Roslyn, the red fabric is the foundation! More about this soon!
