I finally finished up these two pillows. This first one, a string quilt project for the String Quilt Challenge at
Loft Creations, was delayed by my never finding the time to finish up the embroidery but at last its done-before Spring is over!
This punchneedle (the design is from a vintage Pennsylvania quilt) has been waiting even longer to be finished...about a year! I like the cute little plaid ruffle. This looks great on a dark wood chair and also on the new slipcovers on our sofa.

Love those pillows! I keep thinking I'm going to do a string something or another but haven't yet!
I'm in love with the string pillow with embroidery! I like the edge detail too...not corded but sort of a mini-flange; how awesome is that! The punch needle pillow is brilliant too!

They are both pretty but I LOVE the first one. Nice to hear too, that you don't finish things for a long time occassionally. I have a pile of unfinished projects.

Great pillows both! I'll admit the embroidery caught my eye. I admire those who can do embroidery in addition to quilting. It just adds such dainty-ness to a project.

These are both really beautiful! We live overseas, too, and I'd like to do a Mozambican theme quilt eventually. I could use a seasoned quilter by my side through the process...
