Vintage Thursday Thingie: Antique Backgammon Set

I've "borrowed" this backgammon set from my husband. He bought it in the late 1960s, before we were married and it was quite old already.
It is inlaid with different woods and mother of pearl.

How quilt like is this center medallion?

I am absolutely in love with this. I wish I could find one! We play backgammon a lot.. and this would really be a treasure.

My calendar says Wednesday morning. :-) But I know it might be Thursday someplace!

Hello Miri--backgammon is one game I didn't play but I can appreciate a beautiful piece of workmanship.

what a pretty backgammon set. I never really learned how to play that game. I finished my mystery halloween project!

This is definitely quilt-like! The details are amazing; I would feel like I was on the 1920s Riviera playing with this set!

I like the "cow" quilt, too. You are very talented.
